If a site had fewer than 1,000 visits the month before, we don't compute a growth %. It gets a New badge instead, so the top of the board isn't a wall of +9,900% jumps from near zero.
Two sources, or a label
Traffic is cross-checked against an independent source — DataForSEO's organic estimate for keyword-led sites, the Tranco rank for brand-led ones. Sites whose sources disagree are not ranked; sites with only one source carry a single-source badge.
Evidence you can check
Every site page shows its registration date (RDAP), the traffic snapshot month, the cross-check ratio and the exact payment script or link we matched. Revenue is a range with an A/B/C grade, never a single made-up figure.
FAQ
- Is the data accurate?
- Traffic and revenue figures are estimates, not numbers reported by the sites. What we promise is that each figure has a named source, a snapshot month and a confidence level; that sites whose sources disagree are kept off the rankings; and that tiny bases don't produce fake growth. See the methodology for the rules and the thresholds we use.
- Is it free?
- Mostly. Every site page, the model-release log and a monthly sample of 20 sites from each board are free. Pro unlocks the full boards, all filters and columns, revenue ranges and the complete monthly archive — see pricing.
- How often is it updated?
- Traffic is refreshed once a month (our traffic provider publishes a month's data roughly a month later), and the rankings are re-snapshotted after that. Homepages are re-crawled on a rolling schedule; model releases are checked every 30 minutes.
- Which sites are included?
- AI tool sites whose domain was registered on or after January 1, 2025, whose homepage responds normally, with at least 3 months of traffic history and at least 5,000 visits in the latest month. News sites, directories, templates and adult or scam sites are excluded.
- Who is it for?
- Indie hackers and small teams deciding what AI product to build next and how to get users; people looking at small, growing AI sites to buy or invest in; and writers who need rising-site examples they can cite and verify.
- Can I get my site removed?
- Yes. Email hello@newsiteradar.com from an address at your domain (or tell us how to verify you control it) and we will remove the site from the rankings and its site page.
